What a difference a day makes

Saturday we went for a paddle with snow in the forecast.  It was cold but we didn't see the snow.

We stopped to look at the partially frozen Brocks Pond Falls.  As we returned a light drizzle began but still no sign of snow.

But in the evening it did come and by Sunday morning the kayak-mobile was covered in snow.

The snow rested even on the smallest of branches.

The fire hydrant stuck out like a sore thumb.

The rhododendron that was in beautiful bloom just months ago shivered under the blanket of snow.

The branches of fir trees drooped under the weight of the fluffy stuff.

It was good we had gotten on the water when we did.  Seize the day.

  1. Nice winter wonderland shots, Tony. When I went out on Sunday to shovel I was thinking the same thing... good thing we paddled the day before...

  2. Yes Dean, this time of year we have to get out when we can. Even so, this amount of snow wasn't in the forecast. But it did make for some nice winter scenes.

    Tony :-)
