On a great evening
The most regular crew was on hand again last night for our Thursday evening practice: Dean, Neville, Sean and myself. We were joined by Hazen for a group of five, down from a usual group of 8 - 10.
It was perfect. It was blowing hard all day as the sea was stirred up into a frenzy. Then the wind dropped but the wave train kept on a coming.
Familiar faces and pleasant conditions, two good reasons to get out for a couple of hours. But really, any reason or excuse will do.
It was a great evening all 'round for me. I was having some major leakage problems with my deck plates. I did some resealing on Tuesday and was looking for a good chance to test them. The waves on Thursday were just what I needed - the plates spent a lot of time underwater. And finally . . . SUCCESS. Literally only a few drops of water entered and they may have just been condensation. I'm a happy paddler!!!
ReplyDeleteExcellent Sean. If anyone could fix the problem with your deck plates it would be you. Nice shot of your boat again too!
ReplyDeleteTony :-)
yep... the same old Thursday crew. Can always count on 'em. Wish i'd of had my camera to take a shot or two last night... you know of who doing what...
ReplyDeleteIts a good thing that there's a core group Dean. Hopefully we'll get a few new people show up over the summer.
ReplyDeleteI wondered if you were going to blackmail me when I took your GP. It felt a lot better than mine. I may have to make one with the dimensions of your paddle.
Tony :-)
