My deck, as seen from the "bridge"Pretty much every kayaker I see has something on their deck. Be it a water bottle, deck caddy with goodies in it, or a spare paddle, pump or clip on compass. I usually like to keep my deck clear, like my mind is when I'm on the water.
One thing I've added is a bungee across the front hatch that acts as a paddle park when taking pictures or when helping paddle mates etc.
The paddle park was clever. But I suppose I have to much stuff on the deck to copy that... ;)
ReplyDeleteMia, I don't mind scratches on the glass but I didn't want to make it unsightly which stowing the blade under the decklines would eventually do. I hit on the bungee across the hatch cover as a workable alternative. It works best without too much stuff on deck but you could try it or move stuff around on your deck.
